Have you ever met or seen a celebrity outside their normal habitat? I have. I know lots of you will have as well but how did you react? Were you excited and drew attention to yourself or were you nonchalant and cool as if it happened to you every day? The feeling of excitement that races up and down and tingles throughout my body is most unexpected. I really don’t know why it affects me this way. I feel giddy and smile a lot. It’s not even my normal smile but a ‘dumb –der’ kind of smile. However I do remember once being really cool when I met a celebrity and was really pleased with myself for showing no reaction whatsoever. I was in Kendal’s’ department store just finishing off changing. At that time they had communal changing rooms and two other ladies were in there with me. One was a rather large older lady and the other a younger slimmer one. I did a double take when I realised it was Sue Nicholls, who plays Audrey Roberts, from Coronation Street. She was trying on a cream silk blouse and she asked me for my opinion. “Does it look okay?” she asked me. I nodded and said, “Yes it looks fine. It suits you.” I was really calm and collected! She looked at the other lady who had also tried on a new outfit. “That looks nice,” Audrey said. The lady blushed bright red. Audrey looked at me for confirmation and again I nodded. Audrey re dressed and took the blouse. “Bye!” she said. As she left, the other lady and I shrugged as if this kind of thing happened every time we went into changing rooms. But as I left the shop I remember the huge, silly smile, which appeared on my face and it lasted all the way home. Thought for the day: We don’t meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason.

Do certain people create an aura around themselves or do we create it for them. I think most people meet by accident......except footballers wives!
