On planes nowadays have you noticed how many money making schemes are being used by travel companies to their captive audience? On a recent flight I was offered drinks which I had to pay for. This was followed by orders for food which was also on sale. Duty free luxuries came next! I mean, come on, who actually buys this stuff anyway; yet it takes up so much space and the amount of extra weight that the plane has to carry because surely it must bump up the cost of flights. Unbelievably, the stewards came round again with more drinks for sale. Honestly two services in a 4 hour flight when most people had their own bottles of water. You would think that they had finished but no! Also on sale were magazines and wait for it...Scratch cards - for goodness sake! It surprises me that they don’t offer life insurance – you know-just to be on the safe side! If you bought something from everything on offer you could spend a fortune even before your holiday begins! Thought for the day: Let your smile change the world. PS Before I leave just a reminder that part 2 of my Sarah story is now ready for you to read.
