A LITTLE CHOCOLATE FUN!

Everyone likes chocolate, don't they?  At a recent writing workshop I set this task for the members ; to write a story using as many different chocolate bar names as they could.

Here is my effort. Read it through and see how many you can find. Answer next week.

In a far off galaxy somewhere between Mars and the Milky Way, Freddo and Kit Kat, two intrepid astronauts hurtled through space on a marathon  journey to the outer reaches of the Milky Bar.

Their rocket, called Double Decker used its boost to fuse and the ripple that it caused sent a shock twirl through the universe.

They were heading towards the planet Caramac where the Curly Wurly‘s lived. The duet had arranged to have a picnic with fellow astronauts, Lieutenant Toffee Crisp and Captain Kinder Egg who had undertaken this lion of a journey weeks ago aboard their drifter space ship. It was their dream trip.

When they met, the topic of their conversation was the amount of bounty that had been placed upon the capture of the evil Snickers, an alien who had laughed his way around the cosmos doing unspeakable acts of devilry. However, a time out was called for. They listened to music by the Minstrels  and with a chomp and crunch they munchied their way through the delicious freeze dried delicacies made from silky smooth rollos.

Freddo heard a hushed wispa, “fudge and flake!”   These were the passwords for the arrival of the secret space police, who were led by Sergeant Aero Yorkie. Suddenly their revels were disturbed and the planet was alight with chocolate orange laser beams, which revealed the alien desperado.

“What’s happening?” the astronauts shouted.  Sergeant Yorkie dragged Snickers into their camp and explained that he had stolen a space ship full of twix ray guns and had hidden them in the Toblerone pyramids on the planet. But with cunning and stealth he had been captured by the space police however in the ensuing battle their ship had been damaged. They now needed a lift back to Sweetshop City on Planet Earth and he wondered if they would oblige.

It was agreed and everyone made their way to the ships.

“What an exciting time we have had," they all thought!
"We must do it again sometime soon!”

And with a dash and a splash of rocket fuel they sped off into the dark night.

Thought for the day: You can't buy happiness but you can buy chocolate; and that is kind of
                                      the same thing!
